Major League Soccer announced today that Chivas USA defender Jonathan Bornstein has been selected to the 2010 MLS All-Star Team, earning the honor for the fourth consecutive season. The MLS All-Stars will take on legendary English Premier League side Manchester United on Wednesday, July 28 in Houston, Tex.

Bornstein, a Los Alamitos native, has played 10 matches this season for Chivas USA (all starts), served as the team’s captain and played in several different positions, including central defender, left back, and left midfielder. A member of the United States National Team in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, this is Bornstein’s fourth consecutive season to be named to the MLS All-Star team, and he also earned MLS Rookie of the Year honors in 2006
