About the match:

The transition has been difficult. We have always been objective in every game, and we have always looked at the positives, knowing that we have been in transition. Tonight, our team has been hit, like other teams in MLS. This season, our fans, our ownership, our players have been tested and challenged, but we also think that we have to continue to work. Other franchises, other teams, other coaches, other players have responded in our league, that’s what we have to do. We have to regroup. This last game comes at the best time because we need to take a deep breath and regroup. The emotions are difficult right now but the only way we turn this around is by making sure that we learn from the mistakes that we made this season.

About what’s next for the team:

We need to go home. All our players have been hit. We have to start looking at some of the things that went wrong. But first of all, take responsibility, I think it’s the first thing [I have to do]. I can start naming facts or arguments but they are all going to sound like excuses and right now, going forward, we need to take responsibility to turn this around. If we blame this or that, it’s not going to work. We just need to make sure that we come up, myself, that I come up and take responsibility, and regroup and turn this around.

About changes in the team:

We are in transition. We have to look at all possibilities and change this around. Right now, the way I feel it’s really difficult to give you a good answer but I think we need help, we need to strengthen every line in our team.

On the match:

It’s a lot of mixed feelings. Obviously I’m disappointed about the loss and the way it all ends, but I’m also happy that all my friends and family were out there. It’s crazy how many people have been supporting this team and me personally throughout the years, and I’m very thankful for that. I’m excited for what’s ahead, but I’ll enjoy the moment here right now, what I can, and go from there.

On his time at Chivas USA:

It’s been a good run here at Chivas USA. They basically gave me my chance as a professional player and I’m very thankful for that. I tried to do the best I could for the club.

Sobre su debut:

Me siento muy feliz. La verdad es que no hay palabras para describir lo que siento en el momento, pero gracias a Dios se me dio la oportunidad de hacer mi debut. Estoy contento y no por el resultado, pero es el inicio de mi carrera como profesional, entonces me siento muy contento, la verdad.

Sobre cómo se dio el debut:

Michael Umaña iba a salir (al partido) pero le dijeron que descansara y me dijeron que me cambiara. Estaba nervioso, no me la creía, no me moví de mi asiento, estaba temblando y pero después de la charla que tuvimos me comencé a calmar y me dije ‘esto quiero, esto voy a hacer’, y ya que salí a la cancha, se me fueron los nervios y gracias a Dios todo salió bien.

Sobre cómo vivió sus primeros minutos en la cancha:

Se siente padre cada vez que entras a la cancha y hay mucha gente. No hay palabras para describirlo. Mi papá y mi mamá están en Guadalajara pero creo que lo siguieron por la TV pero mis hermanos ahí estaban en las gradas.
