As fans of both Chivas and the Galaxy the supporters groups took their rivalry to the next level as the Union Ultras (Chivas USA fans) face on the Angel City Brigade (Galaxy fans) in a friendly match this past Saturday night. The game, which was designed as match to show the mutual respect between the two supporters groups while building the friendly rivalry, took place at 8:00 p.m. on Field 5 at The Home Depot Center on Saturday, October 2.
El defensa de Chivas USA, Darío Delgado (Costa Rica) y el mediocampista Osael Romero (El Salvador) han sido convocados para integrar sus respectivas selecciones nacionales de cara a sus próximos partidos amistosos internacionales, por lo que ambos no estarán elegibles para el partido de Chivas USA ante el Toronto FC este sábado en El Home Depot Center.
Delgado se integrará al seleccionado costarricense para sus compromisos el viernes ante Perú en Lima y ante El Salvador el martes, 12 de octubre, en San Carlos, Costa Rica. Por su parte, Romero fue convocado para participar con El Salvador en su encuentro ante Panamá en Ciudad de Panamá el viernes, y regresará a Los Ángeles el sábado.
El encuentro entre Chivas USA y el Toronto FC tendrá el tono de color rosado en varios aspectos en honor al mes de la lucha contra el cáncer.

In addition to a special pink soccer ball, Chivas USA will have pink in its gameday gear for players and coaches, pink t-shirts for volunteers participating in the Parade of Champions, a presentation by the ChivaGirls, and much more.
Chivas USA will hold a coaching seminar on October 22-23 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, providing coaches of all levels expert instruction from Chivas USA staff. The two-day event will feature on-field instruction, presentations from Head Coach Martín Vásquez, Assistant Coaches Carlos Juarez and Nick Theslof, and U-18 Head Coach Sacha van der Most, visits to a Chivas USA practice, and ends with the match against the Chicago Fire on Saturday, October 23 at 8:00 p.m. Space is limited, and spots are filling quickly; for more information on the program, or to register, please visit www.cdchivasusa.com/seminar.

- Toronto FC are on the verge of playoff elimination after the 3-2 loss to Seattle – their second in a row and eighth in the last 13 games.
- Toronto FC will be eliminated if they fail to take at least a point from the Chivas USA game, or if San Jose takes at least a point from their trip to D.C. United.
- For the second consecutive season, Chivas USA saw their season come to an end at the hands of their fellow Home Depot Center denizens, ruled out of playoff consideration after the 2-1 loss to the LA Galaxy. A year ago, the Galaxy won the Western Conference Semifinal Series between the clubs.
- With first-choice starters Michael Umaña (suspension) and Dario Delgado (injury) ruled out of the game against the Galaxy, the Chivas central defense featured Ante Jazic and Carlos Borja.
Chivas USA attempted a comeback but fell short in the second match of the Honda SuperClásico on Sunday, losing to the LA Galaxy by a 2-1 score. Edson Buddle and David Beckham gave the Galaxy the lead in the first half, while Alan Gordon struck back for the Red-and-White in the second half, scoring his first goal for the club.
