Portland Timbers
Timbers – Look out below – It’s Timbers’ time!
You know when it’s time to scream for your favorite Portland Timbers, right? You also know
when they will be kicking some games out from their overall skills. Most of all, you know how
it’s done when they score for more points than the other team and after that, the crowd goes
wild as if you’re down under the sea. Most soccer fans do these things and yet they still believe
in the fight against the kicks and all the awes from the crowd. All thoughts may come before
this but neither do the players know that they are still worth the watch.
Portland Timbers – Soccer is the life
Soccer was said to be one of those most popular sports in Europe and America. It is by far the
most consistent game ever played by athletes from Brazil, Argentina, Italy, and many other
countries during that time. Although it is a founding concept of ball games, soccer has made
enough definition of strength, agility, and speed all throughout its history.
Portland Timbers is an American professional soccer club which came from Portland, Oregon.
They are one of those top competitors in the MLS. The announcement about the entry of
Timber’s into MLS was actually a culmination of the 2-year-length process, especially for Merritt
Paulson. In October of 2007, upgraded for about $20 million, Paulson was informed that he
could upgrade the PGE Park for that price. Then, by November of 2008, Paulson expected that
the Portland taxpayers were ready to use $85 million for a new stadium, and that too, for his
other team called Beavers. As acquisition of the MLS franchise reached almost a top number
of issues from other towns in Portland, Mayor Mr. Sam Adams still supported the team and
announced as MLS 18th team on 20th March, 2009 by Don Garber, the Commissioner. This too,
was one of the major moments in Timbers’ timeline and history.
Portland Timbers – It’s about the colors
Every team its own logo – an element which was used to represent the team’s name, origin,
and to help audiences distinguish the right color. The Timbers’ MLS logo wears the elements
of a USL design that was present formerly. It symbolizes wholeness and unity with a touch of
perfection. You will notice that the logo is eluded with axe. Axe is the symbol of the Pacific
Northwest’s logging industry. The three chevrons were organized so as to resemble a fine pine
tree which portrays to the membership of the team in three leagues: the NASL, the USL, and
also the MLS. Are you amazed with the colorful history of their logo? Well, if you still wonder
about the color green in the logo, just think about it as a representation of Oregon’s forests.

without even knowing each other’s background or the name. It’s because when it comes to
a game, no one is entitled to know his fellow fan’s name or the place where he or she came
from. When it comes to the main competition, everyone is about the winning “thing”. They
are bounded with a single goal and that is to cheer for their team to win. However, Timbers’
supporters grew in just a little amount of time. People from different parts of the world,
especially those who are in love with soccer, were known as a bunch of enthusiastic, loud,
and active members of the Timbers Army. This means that these people were present in all
Timbers’ competitions no matter what the odds may be there for them. The most important
part of their journey is that they will keep on supporting the Timbers as long as it is still running
towards its peak of success.
